SANYO Semiconductor Co., Ltd. has developed a USB host control flash microcontroller LC87F1L16A with two USB port interface as an addition to the "Easy Micon™" series that are based on Sanyo's concept of "Easy-to-Use and Designer-Friendly" microcontrollers.
The newly developed LC87F1L16A has realized 2 USB host port control with an 8 bit microcontroller for the first time in the industry*1. The 2 USB host port function is available without any additional external HUB-IC, reducing the number of parts and cost of the unit. Current consumption in hold mode is 40nA, which is the lowest in the industry significantly contributing to reduce the power consumption of the unit.
The key specifications of this product are the optimization of memory capacity and the built-in function for USB host interface. This function is able to realize high performance of the USB capable charger and the USB built-in host system that handles small capacity data at low cost.
